Adam down by the creek

Hi there! I’m Adam Kesterson, a novice trail runner and longtime camping enthusiast with a growing passion for exploring the great outdoors.

By day, I work as a IT Consultant, but my weekends and free time are increasingly dedicated to discovering local trails and sleeping under the stars. I’m new to trail running, having started just a few years ago, and I’m excited to document my journey from a road runner (meep meep) to an off-road adventurer. Every run brings new challenges, from navigating rocky terrain to building endurance for longer distances.

While I’m a novice in trail running, camping has been a lifelong passion, starting with family trips as a kid. Now, I’m learning to combine my budding interest in trail running with overnight camping adventures, allowing me to push my limits and immerse myself in the wilderness.

In this blog, I share:

  • My experiences and lessons as a new trail runner
  • Beginner-friendly gear reviews for both running and camping
  • Route suggestions for novice trail runners
  • Camping tips and outdoor cooking recipes
  • Personal stories of small victories and challenges faced in the wild

My goal is to inspire other beginners to step out of their comfort zones, lace up their trail shoes, and embrace the adventure that awaits in the great outdoors. If you’re curious about trail running or looking to start, you’ll find honest accounts of my learning process here.

Join me as I stumble through my first trails, figure out proper running techniques, pitch tents, and share the joy of outdoor living!

Happy trails, Adam
